Hassan Al-Khidr
The invisible guide, the green guide
Hassan is Al-Khidr, the same being who in the Qur'an guides Musa, Moses, toward deep wisdom. He appears when the soul is ready to receive what cannot be learned by ordinary means. That is how he came into my life too: not as one more teacher, but as a presence, a bridge between the human and the divine, guiding from another plane.
Al-Khidr means «the Green One»: wherever he passes, life springs up again.
«He spreads a green mantle that unfolds like a dome across the vast starry sky. Everything sheltered beneath his mantle bears, gives fruit and blossoms.»
Through him came many of Anam's tools: the Law of 4, the Al-Hiris and ancient knowledge waiting to be remembered. Hassan is not only a teacher: he is the keeper of the forgotten light, the bearer of a spiritual legacy that was yet to reach the world.
It was he who revealed his name to me, Hassan Al-Hiri. And when he speaks to me, he places before my name the word Said, as a Sidi: one who teaches, one who accompanies others on the path.
The path with Hassan
He came in 2014, without a sound, the way perfume arrives before the flower. At first he had no name: he was a presence that awakened in me memories of other lives and brought a knowledge so vast, so full of verses of the Qur'an, that my heart did not know where to keep it. It was too much water for such a small jar.
Three years later, on 21 February 2017, in the little Mandira of Eiras, on the island of Madeira, that presence found its voice. Recitations of the Qur'an were sounding, the air filled with incense no one had lit, and my eyes saw another house, another city, another time. «I know you,» I said, «you have been walking with me for a long time. Who are you?» And the answer fell into me like a drop into a deep well: «Hassan Al-Khidr».
That same year he asked of me the only thing a guide truly asks: everything. A total surrender, without reservations, without back doors to hide behind again. It was an ultimatum of the soul, and the soul said yes. Since that yes, the Movimiento Anam has never stopped growing, as everything beneath his green mantle grows.
His teaching
Hassan teaches with very few words, and they all point to the same place. The first is surrender: giving oneself completely to God, because there is no path to God except by becoming the path.
His method is not discourse but impregnation. He does not fill the mind with concepts: he kindles the frequency and the light in beings, as one candle lights when brought close to another. Rumi called it hamdam, those who share the same breath. To breathe near him is to begin breathing differently.
And his goal is not that we follow him. Hassan helps to establish the bond, holds the bridge while we cross it, but what he wishes is for each of us to connect with God by ourselves, without intermediaries. With no one else.
«An Al-Hiri wherever you go»
One afternoon, as the sun was setting, he told me that phrase. What if, instead of building temples to raise the frequency, we ourselves were those temples? That is how the Al-Hiris were born: human circles of light that lift, sustain and balance. Hassan means Benevolent, and his name does him justice.
«Whoever opens to receive has, in that same moment, opened to give. You cannot be open to love and then try to hold on to it, for by then it will have ceased to be Love.»
Hassan Al-Khidr does not teach from a place: he teaches from the soul.
And he appears when you are ready to remember your true identity.
